Sustainability

The Brundtland Definition Of Sustainability

“Sustainable development meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”

For Queens Square, sustainability is the triple bottom line: ‘people, profit, planet’ or ‘social, economic and environmental’.

Sustainability is in everything we do and the way we interact with the people and physical environment around us.

What Does This Actually Mean?

Travelling by public transport is encouraged and wherever possible, we walk to meetings. We try to keep travel to a minimum.

All paper, plastic, tin/can and glass waste is segregated for recycling. All printer cartridges are also recycled.

Energy consumption is monitored and targeted. IT equipment is switched off when not in use.

We contribute to the local community through our work with numerous charities and play a key role in the West Bromwich Town Centre Regeneration Partnership Board.
